Last Thursday, February 2nd, the Foundation Ricardo Fisas-Natura Bissé participated in the “Second training Day in cosmetic and skin care in patients with cancer” of the Stanpa Foundation, in the own headquarters of the foundation in Barcelona. The day was attended by some twenty people, from the team of volunteers from Stanpa in Catalonia (beauticians and professional makeup artists), the staff of their employers and employees.

The day consisted of two parts: a dialogue and a presentation. The dialogue dealt with the “Main consequences of oncological treatments on the skin. The benefit of self-care“. With a duration of 45 minutes, was in charge of Dr. Àngels Arcusa, Head of the medical oncology service of the Consorci Sanitari of Terrassa and Magda Ciendones, nurse manager of cases of breast cancer, in the Oncology Service, Hospital de The Santa Creu and Sant Pau. In this first part, a space of dialogue was offered in which health professionals provided their experience in a very dynamic way, responding to the doubts of the attendees.

The second part of the presentation was given by Ana Vilamanyà, Technical advisor of oncological aesthetics at the Ricardo Fisas Foundation – Natura Bissé and lasted for 30 minutes. Ana Vilamanyà spoke about the “Dermocosmetic treatment of patients in oncological treatments“, with a theoretical part in which she made a presentation and then a few minutes for the question time.
