In 2008, Natura Bissé founders: Ricardo Fisas and Gloria Vergés, created their private foundation to bring well-being to people going through situations that make them more vulnerable. It was designed to further their core values of commitment and solidarity.
Ever since its creation, the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation has worked with leading professionals to create collaborative and sustainable projects. We deploy our expertise to help solve social needs. This process has resulted in our Oncology Skin Care and Project Difference programs.
Oncology Skin Care provides free, tailored, aesthetic skin care treatments to people receiving cancer treatment at hospitals and patient associations.
Project Difference gives teachers the skills they need to support children with learning differences in the classroom. Our training covers differences including dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Language-Based Learning Disabilities (LBLD) and Talented and Gifted students.
The foundation works with charities that care for and support people who find themselves in situations of poverty, loneliness or at risk of social exclusion.

Born in 1929, Ricardo Fisas received a Jesuit education and stayed in the order until he was 32. He started his advertising career at Nestlé before moving into consultancy, and becoming President of Wrigley’s Chewing Gum, Spain from 1967–1973. He then managed a hydrolyzed protein company. After finding himself out of work at the age of 50, he decided to start his own business: Natura Bissé. That company is now a global flagship for genuinely beautiful skin care.
After handing over the reins of their company to the next generation in 2008, Ricardo Fisas and his wife Gloria Vergés focused on developing a humanitarian project. They’d been dreaming of creating their own charitable foundation for some time.
Ricardo Fisas was an inspiration to those who knew him. He wove his key values of commitment, continuous improvement, flexibility and humanism into the DNA of every one of his projects, including the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation.
His enthusiasm and positivity, his warmth and friendly nature, will always guide the fascinating humanitarian project he and his wife created, and their children proudly maintain. His legacy overflows with unforgettable moments and stories.
Ricardo Fisas came up with his own ten commandments, which he applied to bring happiness to those around him. He wanted to pass on these simple rules to his children and grandchildren:
1. Learn people’s names.
2. Welcome with a smile.
3. Be generous in your praise.
4. Always take an interest in what people are saying.
5. Pay attention to what others are interested in.
6. Show you understand their ideas.
7. Ask what other people think before giving your opinion.
8. Don’t argue. Even if you win the argument, you might lose the relationship.
9. Admit your mistakes immediately.
10. Do favors.
Ricardo Fisas’ signature symbolizes the NATURA BISSÉ founder’s unique personality. It’s strength and significance made it an obvious logo choice.
This handwriting is the sign of an open, generous person, with great communication skills and strong emotional management.
His personal motto was: “Let’s do it!”
Ricardo Fisas invited everyone around him to take action.
