The Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation in issue 415 of Expertos en Estética

The Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation appears in issue 415 of Expertos en Estética magazine with an interview with Meritxell Solé, the Foundation's executive director, and Alicia Gil, beauty therapist on the Oncology Skin Care programme.

We are delighted to be able to share, through this feature, the essence of a project that for more than 16 years has supported people with cancer through specialised, safe and free beauty care, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being.

During the interview, Meritxell and Alicia talk about how oncology skin care has evolved, the importance of specific training for professionals in the sector and the impact that care has on people going through cancer. “Sometimes the most important thing is not what you do, but how you do it: listening, respecting silences, adapting to how the person feels that day,” explains Alicia Gil.

The conversation also covers the inclusion of oncology skin care in the Personal Image vocational training course, a key step for the Foundation and for continuing to normalise and professionalise this specialism.

The Foundation's Oncology Skin Care programme is currently present in more than 22 centres in Spain and also operates in the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico. Since it began, it has trained more than 1,600 professionals and supported more than 5,000 people through more than 17,000 beauty treatments.

This appearance in Expertos en Estética helps us continue raising awareness of the importance of support, listening and care during cancer treatment.
