In 2008, Ricardo Fisas and Gloria Vergés, founders of Natura Bissé, created a private, independent foundation to contribute to the well-being of people living in vulnerable situations: an initiative through which they could remain true to their values of commitment and solidarity.
Since then, at the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation we have created collaborative and sustainable projects with the best professionals whenever we identify a social need to which we believe we can contribute. This is how our own two initiatives were born: the Oncology Skin Care Programme and Project Difference. Through the first, we offer free individual beauty treatments in hospitals and patient associations to care for the skin of people undergoing cancer treatment.
With Project Difference, we train and support teachers in the classroom so that they can help children with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, giftedness, ASD or learning disorders.
The Foundation also works with other organisations that care for and support people living in poverty, loneliness or at risk of social exclusion.

Born in 1929, Ricardo Fisas received a Jesuit education and stayed in the order until he was 32. He started his advertising career at Nestlé before moving into consultancy, and becoming President of Wrigley’s Chewing Gum, Spain, from 1967 to 1973.
He later held a management position at a protein hydrolysate company until, in 1979, after losing his job at the age of 50, he decided to start his own business venture, which he named Natura Bissé: a cosmetics company that is now a global benchmark in the sector.
After the generational handover at the company in 2008, Ricardo Fisas and his wife, Gloria Vergés, focused their efforts on a humanitarian project they had had in mind for many years: creating their own Foundation.
Ricardo Fisas was an inspiration to those who knew him. He wove his key values of effort, commitment, resilience and human warmth into the DNA of every one of his projects, including the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation.
His enthusiasm and positivity, his warmth and friendly nature, will always guide the fascinating humanitarian project he and his wife created, and their children proudly maintain. His legacy overflows with unforgettable moments and stories.
Ricardo Fisas came up with his own ten commandments, which he applied to bring happiness to those around him. He wanted to pass on these simple rules to his children and grandchildren:
1. Learn people’s names.
2. Welcome with a smile.
3. Be generous in your praise.
4. Listen with interest.
5. Pay attention to what others are interested in.
6. Show you understand their ideas.
7. Ask what other people think before giving your opinion.
8. Don’t argue. Even if you win the argument, you might lose the relationship.
9. Admit your mistakes immediately.
10. Do favours.
Ricardo Fisas’ signature symbolises the NATURA BISSÉ founder’s unique personality. Its strength and significance made it an obvious logo choice.
This handwriting is the sign of an open, generous person, with great communication skills and strong emotional management.
His personal motto was: “Let’s do it!”
Ricardo Fisas invited everyone around him to take action.
My favourite slogan was always the famous call to action: “Let’s do it!”
I’m a good conductor, but I couldn’t have done anything without my team.
Look to what you can still achieve. That’s how we created the Foundation.
When I was young, I was very selfish… Now I get up thinking about what I can do for others.
Businesses have a social purpose: they need to give back to society... I want to give back everything women have given me.
