The Fundació Nen Déu and the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation have launched a joint project aimed at improving the well-being and skin care of people with intellectual disabilities.
People with intellectual disabilities are, in many cases, more prone to skin conditions such as dermatitis, dryness or other skin ailments. In light of this, both organisations have joined forces to develop an initiative focused on prevention, self-care and improving the quality of life of those they support.
The project includes various activities aimed at both service users and carers and professionals. These include dynamic workshops to promote independence and personal care habits, as well as the creation of specific educational materials tailored to the needs of this group.
As well as promoting awareness and daily skincare, this collaboration focuses on people’s general well-being, considering skincare as another tool for support and self-esteem.
The initiative is already being implemented in the residences of the Nen Déu Foundation in Barcelona and Tiana, thanks also to the support of Natura Bissé, which has made a generous donation of products to both residences.
The Nen Déu Foundation and the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation would like to express our gratitude to Natura Bissé for its support and commitment to this social project.
